Counseling Philosophy: I'm passionate about creating a space where people of all ages feel safe to explore their feelings and grow into who they're becoming. I work with adults, teens, and children carrying anxiety, depression, grief, or past trauma, often after years of holding it together alone. I believe our developmental years carry into the present, even when we feel we've moved past them, and part of my work is helping clients trace those threads from childhood into adulthood. Much of what I bring into the room also comes from my own healing, which shapes how I show up: with honesty, warmth, and real respect for each person's journey.
Counseling Orientation: I take a holistic, client-centered approach rooted in compassion and curiosity about each person's experience. I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques, Mindfulness, and somatic work to manage anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma while building healthier thought patterns, steadier emotional regulation, and awareness of where emotions show up in the body. Because every client is different, I shape my approach around the person in front of me rather than following the same plan for everyone.
Areas of Specialty: I work across a wide age range — children, adolescents, and adults — focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and emotional regulation, as well as healthier relationships and stronger self-esteem. My experience in a school setting gave me insight into the pressures younger people face today, and I stay committed to ongoing learning to keep showing up well for my clients.
Qualifications: I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix, and my Bachelor's in Psychology from Oakland University in 2010.
Office Location: Ashley sees clients in person at our Utica office and also offers telehealth appointments.

Counseling Philosophy: You can experience an overwhelming number of emotions and not know how to express or identify those emotions. My hope is to create a safe, fun, and genuine environment for you to express and explore all the feelings you may be experiencing. Please know that your voice will be heard, and you are valued. Whether you are coming to see me for anxiety, depression, ADHD, transitional issues, relationship issues, family issues, identity and self-love issues, trauma related issues or even just to vent (etc.,) you are welcome!
Counseling Orientation: My therapeutic approach consists of using expressive art and therapeutic play techniques. I love to be creative with my clients. I give my clients a safe space to express themselves in ways they may not be able to vocalize. I also have experience working with Cognitive Behavioral and Person-Centered Therapies.
Areas of Specialty: I tend to work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, and women’s issues. I am also able to offer faith-based therapy using Christian-based models.
Qualifications: I graduated with a MA in clinical mental health counseling at Oakland University. During the first year of my MA program, I became a part of Chi Sigma Iota which is a professional and educational honor society. Prior to working on my MA, I graduated from Oakland with my BA in Women and Gender Studies.

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to help you better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I primarily specialize in working with adults who have experienced trauma, while also helping clients navigate anxiety, relationship concerns, self-esteem, grief and loss, life transitions, and learning coping skills.
I take a collaborative, personalized approach to therapy because I recognize that every person’s experiences and goals are unique. Drawing from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Narrative, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs.
My clinical experience includes working with adults in various settings, including Gilda’s Club in Royal Oak, supporting individuals and families impacted by cancer. During graduate school, I also worked as a graduate assistant in a university career counseling center, helping traditional and nontraditional college students and alumni navigate career exploration, job searches, interviewing, and professional development. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support clients through life’s many transitions. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am proud to provide an affirming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you’re processing past trauma or navigating life’s current challenges, I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
