Phoebe Liebnau, Clinical Mental Health Practicum Student

Hi, I’m Phoebe! I am a Clinical Mental Health Practicum Student currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Central Michigan University. I have lived in Michigan all my life and have always had a strong passion for mental health and wellness. I believe that we don’t always have to figure everything out on our own. My hope is to create a warm, supportive space where you can be yourself without judgment or pressure and feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued.

I view counseling as something we work through together. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centered care, while also drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I strive to meet each client where they are and tailor my approach to their individual needs, experiences, and goals. I am open to working with a wide range of individuals including children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have particular interests in working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, relationship concerns, communication, and boundaries. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable and I want you to know that you do not have to navigate the ups and downs of life alone. My hope is that through our work together, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and move toward a life that feels healthier, more fulfilling, and is more aligned with who you are.

I’m so glad you’re here, and it would be an honor to be a part of your journey!

Office Location: I offer in-person appointments at our Commerce Township office, as well as telehealth appointments.

Erin Williams, Clinical Mental Health Practicum Student

Hi! My name is Erin and I am a Clinical Mental Health Practicum Student at Tree of Life Counseling Services while obtaining my master’s degree from Central Michigan University. I was born and raised in Virginia where I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. As a counselor-in-training, I believe in supporting my clients in their mental health journey by creating a safe and welcoming space in which they are valued, heard, and respected. I strive to foster a nurturing and collaborative relationship with clients in which they are able to gain self-awareness, navigate and overcome challenges, gain confidence, and achieve meaningful personal growth. Counseling can help provide meaningful change for clients in all stages of life facing many different challenges. I see clients as the experts of their own life and experiences and the counselor as a facilitator and collaborator who can help the client achieve the changes and goals they strive for. I have interests in working with all ages and populations including children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I wish to work with clients navigating neurodivergence, eating disorders, interpersonal relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. I aim to help clients build the necessary skills and coping strategies to live confidently and successfully.

My approach to counseling is informed by person-centered and humanistic theories, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care to create a collaborative and holistic approach that is centered on the individual and unique needs of each client. I believe every individual possesses unique traits and strengths that can be supported and built upon through counseling. Whether you are facing a difficult season of life or just looking to better understand yourself, I am happy to support you in your counseling experience.

Office Location: I work with clients in-person at the Commerce Township location as well as via telehealth.

Kevin Bradacs, MA, LPC

Philosophy: We all have a unique “approach” we take to life – it shows itself in the way we think, feel, behave, and engage in relationships with the world around and inside of us.  This approach is intended to promote survival (medical/physiological, mental/emotional, social, spiritual, etc.), is ever-evolving, and is directly influenced by our previous and current life experiences.  Due to its formative and ever-present nature, our individual approach is always adapting and reacting in real time – seemingly automatically and without us even knowing.  Our responses and decisions as this learning process unfolds feed back into/shape our future approaches and, overall, experiences and lives.

Orientation: I see mental health practice as an opportunity to create a collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where evidence-based interventions/techniques are used to deepen the connection with, and become the architect of, your approach. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Internal/Family Systems Therapy are used and intended to result in clients being equipped with skillsets which allow them to practice and integrate new approaches moving forward in effort to decrease targeted mental health symptoms and improve the quality-of-life experience.

Areas of Specialty: I have 10+ years of experience in working with anxiety and depressive disorders, mood disorders, trauma/other stressor related disorders, addiction, obsessive and compulsive disorders, grief and loss, family issues/conflict, and life transitions.

Qualifications: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University.  I held a Temporary Limited License in Psychology (TLLP) for two years before transitioning to a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC); and I am now a fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2020.

Office Location: I offer in-person appointments at the Commerce office as well as telehealth appointments by request or as needed.

Contact Method: E-mail kevin@treeoflifecounselingservices.com or call (947) 465-0737 to schedule an intake appointment or receive a free 15-min consultation with me directly.
