My name is Chloe and I am a Practicum student here at Tree of Life Counseling Services. I work from an existential lens, which means my goal in therapy is to help you explore the deeper “why” behind what you’re experiencing, your relationships, your sense of meaning and the moments where life feels heavy. With that, I incorporate practical, evidence-based tools to help you navigate what is showing up day to day in a way that feels manageable and real.
I have a strong passion for working with couples and supporting them as they move through moments of distance, conflict, or feeling out of sync with one another. In my work with couples, I draw from the Gottman Method (Level 1 and Level 2 trained) to help partners better understand their patterns, improve communication and rebuild connection in a more intentional and secure way. I enjoy helping couples slow things down, get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, and find new ways of relating to one another.
I also work with individuals navigating a range of emotional and mental health concerns, including anxiety, coping skills, depression, and challenges related to perinatal and postpartum experiences. These struggles can feel isolating or overwhelming, and I aim to offer a space where you can be honest about what you’re going through without judgment or pressure to “have it together.”
My style is warm, collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I see therapy as a place where we can make sense of what’s been weighing on you and begin creating movement toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters to you.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Central Michigan University with an expected graduation in May of 2027. I hold bachelor’s degrees in biology and neuroscience with a minor in psychology from Eastern Illinois University. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing video games, and spending time with loved ones.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Seeking help for your child is a meaningful and caring step, and I would be honored to support your family through that process. As a Limited Licensed Counselor and Art Therapist, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and playful therapeutic space where children can express themselves freely, build emotional skills, and harness their strengths. I believe that when children feel truly seen, heard, and supported, meaningful growth and healing can happen.
I graduated from Wayne State University in 2023 with a dual Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. My background allows me to take a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the strong connection between mind and body. In sessions, I often incorporate creative expression, mindfulness, and movement to help children communicate feelings, regulate emotions, and build healthy coping skills.
My approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing from Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed care. I believe every child has unique strengths, and therapy is a space to nurture those strengths while working through challenges together.
As a first-generation immigrant from Mexico, I bring cultural sensitivity to my work and strive to create inclusive spaces where families feel respected and supported. I also offer therapy in English and Spanish as a native bilingual speaker.

If you feel stuck in a cycle of anxiety, hypervigilance, or "people-pleasing," you’ve likely realized that just talking about the problem isn't always enough. Trauma and stress live in the body. My approach is Integrative, meaning we don't use a "one-size-fits-all" model. I blend powerful, evidence-based modalities like EMDR to "unstick" painful memories and Somatic focus to help you find physical calm in the present moment. For those who wish to incorporate their faith, I offer Christian/Catholic integrated counseling to ensure your healing journey aligns with your values.
Whether you are navigating a major life transition, struggling with relationship patterns, or healing from childhood trauma, I work to move at your pace. Never rushed and never pushed. I offer a hybrid model of in-person sessions and virtual sessions across Michigan.
Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, so let’s make it simple. I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation to answer your questions and see if we are a good fit. Email me today, and I look forward to hearing your story.

Counseling Philosophy: Going to counseling can be unfamiliar at first, but I strive to create a safe space that allows clients to progress at their own pace. In counseling, the goal is to help individuals process life events, develop coping skills, and enhance self-awareness. Self-awareness allows greater understanding and better coping with life’s journey. In counseling, I empathize with my clients’ needs, situations, and support their well-being. No one has to go through this journey alone. I am here to advocate and assist in empowering your voice.
Counseling Orientation: I use an integrated approach catered to the individualized needs of my clients. The main modalities of therapy I use are art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and person-centered theories to help support my clients' mental health while providing a safe space.
Art therapy is a unique approach that can assist all populations—no, you do not have to be an artist to do art therapy, it is all about the process! Art therapy assists in deepening self-awareness, improving self-esteem, empowerment, building resiliency, problem-solving and conflict resolution, emotional processing, and enhancing social skills. As a registered art therapist, I guide clients through their creative process using psychological theories to assist in helping solve thoughts and emotions. Art therapy combines cognitive and sensorimotor components to assist in improving overall well-being.
Area of Specialty: I have experience working with ADHD, life transitions, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, depression, emotional regulation and Identification, family issues, grief and loss, LGBTQ+, parenting, and school issues.
Qualifications: I received my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Wayne State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist.

I believe counseling is a collaborative experience with the client and counselor. It could be a short-term service while needing temporary support through a life transition, or an ongoing journey to help aid and improve the client's overall mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. I adapt my counseling approach based upon the client's needs.
In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and judgement free environment. I provide active listening, support, and practical tools to help you navigate difficulties and achieve your treatment goals. Together we will work towards greater self-awareness, improve coping strategies, and build lasting positive change.
I completed my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Wayne State University in April 2024. Prior to pursuing counseling, I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from Eastern Michigan University in 2013. For the last several years I worked in medical case management with individuals who have suffered a traumatic brain or spinal cord injury.
