There is a path toward greater mental and emotional freedom and well-being in this life. Unpleasant emotions and thoughts can so easily fuel the repetitive loops of critical self-views, anxiety, and depression. Yet the human mind has the incredible capacity to be malleable, adapt, and change for the better.
I utilize elements of mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy in sessions and take a special interest in integrating the full scope of human experience (actions, relationships, thoughts, emotions, etc.). I work with clients to cultivate what is supportive and skillful in their lives and to remove the fuel from the vehicle of their suffering.
There is no wrong reason to seek counseling. Connection, understanding, and support are the antidote to isolation and distress. I value empowerment and supporting clients to work toward their goals and values. Please reach out, I would love to hear from you!

Therapy can be intimidating as it can open unresolved emotional wounds and traumas. My goal is to cultivate a safe and non-judgmental space where acceptance, healing, and growth can take place. By collaboratively working through and embracing the complexities and nuances of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as identifying where they stem from and what they are trying to tell you, we can work towards helping you develop increased self-awareness and self-acceptance.
I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, stress, mood disorders, life transitions, social anxiety, emotional issues, relationship issues, and grief. I utilize an integrative approach tailored to suit your individual needs with the help of various evidence-based approaches.
I look forward to helping you navigate life’s challenges by walking alongside you on your journey towards healing and growth.

As a therapist, my mission is to provide a brave and welcoming space for clients to embark on a journey towards self-awareness, recovery, healing, authenticity, and empowerment. Without judgment, I aim to help clients of all ages navigate the internal and external obstacles they face in achieving the authentic happiness, balance, and satisfying relationships they want in their lives. To do this work in a good way, anti-oppression and liberatory practices are foundational to our therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide a non-stigmatizing, trauma-informed therapeutic experience. I do not see clients as broken, or something to be “fixed”. Instead, our purpose together is to co-construct meaning of your experiences and highlight opportunities for symptom relief, expansion, and healing. My counseling approach starts with building a strong, trusting relationship that clients find to be straightforward, enlightening, productive and, at times, fun. It also includes a mixture of Rational Emotional Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Person-Centered Counseling, Gestalt Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Instead of a one-sized-fits-all approach to counseling, I tailor my approach to put each individual client in position to meet their mental health and personal goals.

Life affects us all in a variety of ways, but it’s how we respond to those experiences that determine the type of person we are. Some of those experiences can be painful and traumatic. Truthfully, healing is painful as well, but what is most detrimental is holding on to that pain and trauma. Taking a step in your healing process takes courage. Being here on this page, shows that you’re taking that step towards internal peace and healing. Your experiences contribute to the layers of who you are, however, those layers don't have to become walls and they don't have to linger on in your everyday existence.
As a wife and mother, I developed a deep and distinctive strategies of displaying empathy. I'm passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families of diverse backgrounds and age groups.
In 2017, I earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in African American Studies. From there, I began working with Clients who’ve experienced trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and various forms of abuse and neglect (sexual, physical, mental etc.). This motivated me to become a greater qualified ally to the mental health community. In 2022, I earned a MA of Counseling Education with a dual concentration in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. In alignment with providing a therapeutic environment, I use CBT, Person-centered, and Solution-focused approaches with my clients.
I look forward to collaborating with you to restore your peace and to learn the tools to heal in your own way, on your own time. You are the expert on your life and only you can commence your new journey.
