Hello, I believe that every person deserves a devoted and supportive counselor — someone who listens without judgment, guides with compassion, and empowers them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. I believe that change is always possible, no matter where you're starting from. You don’t have to have it all figured out — and you certainly don’t have to
go through it alone. I am passionate about providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space where everyone can feel seen, heard, and valued on their journey toward healing and growth.
I am currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. I have completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oakland University. Rooted in a person-centered approach, I believe that each client holds the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to walk alongside them with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard – helping them discover new insights, build resilience, and move toward the life they want to live. In my work, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship where clients can explore life’s challenges in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I’ve utilized techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, choosing the methods that best align with each client’s individual experiences and goals. For couples, I integrate principles from the
Gottman Method, focusing on strengthening communication, building emotional connection, and fostering trust and intimacy. Whether you’re looking to deepen your relationship or work through conflict, I aim to provide tools and insights that support lasting change.
Becoming a counselor has been a calling for me — a path rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a strong desire to provide meaningful care to my community. I view the therapeutic relationship as a space for self-discovery and empowerment. Healing begins with connection, and I strive to
build strong, trusting relationships that honor each person’s unique story. Each session is an opportunity to connect, grow, and be part of someone’s journey toward healing — something I consider both a responsibility and a privilege.

Counseling Philosophy- Taking the first step toward therapy is one of the bravest acts you can take—for yourself, your healing, and your life. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or bring up a wide range of emotions. I want to remind you that there is hope, despite all that you may be feeling. Beyond this first step lies a journey of growth, insight, and transformation—and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your path! I believe that your lived experiences, your inner wisdom, and your unique essence of self are the most powerful guides in your healing. My role is to meet you exactly where you are, offering tools, insight, and compassionate support to help you uncover the answers and power already within you. I believe in the importance of a balanced therapeutic relationship, where I am here to walk beside you, not ahead of you, as we work together to reconnect you back to your inner compass. Therapy is not about fixing you—because you are not broken. It’s about relearning, rediscovering, and remembering your inherent worth and value to help you in the challenges you are facing. With whatever brings you into therapy, we will work together to help you process your experiences, reach your goals, and instill lasting change. You hold the key- and it would be an honor to help you unlock and open the next chapter in your journey. You are not lost- you are becoming. Let’s begin.
Counseling Orientation- I understand every individual has unique needs, learning styles, and perceptions, so I work with a variety of processes and theories to best support the client. I am passionate about holistic, somatic and energy-based approaches that help clients process difficult and challenging thoughts and emotions; with my main modality being IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy). This therapy focuses on accepting all parts of oneself and offers a practical approach that encompasses curiosity and compassion, rather than shame and blame, to help connect back to the core self-energy and autonomy of the client. I also utilize Person-Centered Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, mindfulness techniques and Motivational Interviewing to best meet the needs of each client.
Areas of Specialty – I enjoy working with a range and variety of clients from children to adults. With my education background and experience working in the school system and as a Kindergarten teacher for eight years, I have unique insight and knowledge working with children and adolescents. I also have experience working with young adults and adults who are experiencing anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, and self-discovery in different phases of life.
Qualifications – I am currently an Intern through Oakland University’s Masters Program in Clinical Mental Health. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood and Special Education from Michigan State University.

As a counselor and EMDR-trained clinician, I’m ready to dive in and help you work through whatever challenges life may be throwing your way.
Here’s the twist: Alongside counseling, I’ve spent over 20 years as a college instructor. That means I’ve spent years helping both teenagers and adults tackle obstacles, find motivation, and reach their goals.
I conduct sessions in Arabic, French, and English—so language will never be a barrier to your healing journey. My approach is flexible and tailored to you. While I often draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I incorporate other methods when they fit best. Each session is personalized because your story is unique, and your path forward should be too.

Counseling Philosophy & Orientation:
Therapy for me is a process where we work together to find ways for you to feel comfortable in your own skin and live your life in the best way you can. We will work together to tailor your treatment utilizing evidence-based interventions, which can include art therapy, dream analysis, active imagination, guided imagery, word association, cognitive behavioral therapy, Internal Family System (IFS), and mindfulness, among others. I can also provide therapy in Brazilian Portuguese. Being in therapy myself provided me the opportunity to experience both sides of the therapeutic process and the beauty of it. I experienced all of my practices, and I continue to learn with my clients and for my clients. It will be an honor working with you and finding out what therapy is for you.

Counseling Philosophy
Therapy is an inviting place where every single part of you is welcome, even the parts that are uncomfortable to share. There are two key factors that make counseling successful: empathy from the therapist and trust from the client. Once achieved, the healing process can begin. I am devoted to providing a safe space for you to discuss your deepest concerns and challenges without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. Together, we can create a strong therapeutic alliance and work towards your goals and desired changes.
Counseling Orientation
I use an integrative approach with my clients, meaning that I consider that every client and situation is different and must be treated as so. In doing so, I can use the most effective methods available to address each individual client's needs and wants. The therapy approaches I frequently use are Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strength Based.
Areas of Specialty
I enjoy working with a wide range of clients with varying backgrounds. The clients I typically see are children 5+, adolescents, and adults of any age. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma. We will work together to use your strengths to find solutions to problems, enhance relationships, build confidence, and develop a healthy sense of self.

Counseling Philosophy
My approach is rooted in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe the client is the expert in their own life; however, it takes a village to overcome life’s challenges. I help educate clients about their treatment and give them the tools to impact their daily lives positively. I aim to be a pillar of support to help clients meet their goals and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.
Counseling Orientation
My therapeutic orientation is primarily grounded in cognitive-behavioral theory. I aim to explore how negative thought patterns and beliefs can lead to unwanted behaviors and feelings; I seek to align my client’s thoughts, feelings, and actions with their goals. However, I will integrate several approaches if necessary—I believe each client has a unique identity, and my therapeutic interventions will be individualized to meet their goals. In addition, I am dedicated to applying techniques and interventions with a firm evidence base that supports the overall effectiveness and creates the change the clients seek.
Areas of Specialty
