Counseling Philosophy
My approach is rooted in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe the client is the expert in their own life; however, it takes a village to overcome life’s challenges. I help educate clients about their treatment and give them the tools to impact their daily lives positively. I aim to be a pillar of support to help clients meet their goals and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.
Counseling Orientation
My therapeutic orientation is primarily grounded in cognitive-behavioral theory. I aim to explore how negative thought patterns and beliefs can lead to unwanted behaviors and feelings; I seek to align my client’s thoughts, feelings, and actions with their goals. However, I will integrate several approaches if necessary—I believe each client has a unique identity, and my therapeutic interventions will be individualized to meet their goals. In addition, I am dedicated to applying techniques and interventions with a firm evidence base that supports the overall effectiveness and creates the change the clients seek.
Areas of Specialty
I enjoy working with a variety of clients, from children to adults. Specifically, I have a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and individuals with disabilities. Additional specialty areas include but are not limited to anxiety, anger, depression, ADHD, adjustment issues, and trauma.
Qualifications
I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Oakland University. I am a Limited License Counselor (LLC) and receive direct supervision under a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In addition, I am a fully licensed school counselor.

Therapy with a stranger can be intimidating and scary, especially for individuals starting for the first time. I aim to create an inviting space filled with warmth and comfort. I received my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. As an LLC, I am serving clients under the direct supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Counseling Philosophy
Life has many challenges for us to overcome. Each individual has different challenges that may be harder to overcome than others. As a counselor, I aim to create a warm and nonjudgmental environment for clients to feel safe to freely express themselves. Counseling can seem scary or intimidating, but in the environment that we create together, it is anything but scary. Together, we will work through any obstacle that stands in your way. As a team, we can achieve any goal that we set out to achieve.
Counseling Orientation
Each client has their own unique story and challenges that they must overcome. When I work with clients, I tend to treat each challenge with an approach that is appropriate to help work the situation out. The therapy approaches I tend to use are Person-Centered, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

There is an ebb and flow to us throughout our entire life. It can be physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental. When it feels like the waves are crashing down on us mentally, talking to an experienced professional can help adapt to these moments. We experience positive and negative results with challenges. This is how an individual develops and there will be continuous growth. I personally have experienced the complete ebb and flow in life, which guided me to this profession.
I have in-depth experience with traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress disorders, and physical and mental impairments. I have provided emotional support therapy and worked for a recreational therapist company as a mentor to clients previously.
Living in the present moment at this time of my life is a grateful opportunity. I look forward to working with my peers and clients which I will continuously work toward building a respectable and professional rapport. I currently hold limited licensure as an LLC and am under the supervision of an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).

Counseling Philosophy
Therapy is an inviting place where every single part of you is welcome, even the parts that are uncomfortable to share. There are two key factors that make counseling successful: empathy from the therapist and trust from the client. Once achieved, the healing process can begin. I am devoted to providing a safe space for you to discuss your deepest concerns and challenges without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. Together, we can create a strong therapeutic alliance and work towards your goals and desired changes.
Counseling Orientation
I use an integrative approach with my clients, meaning that I consider that every client and situation is different and must be treated as so. In doing so, I can use the most effective methods available to address each individual client's needs and wants. The therapy approaches I frequently use are Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strength Based.
Areas of Specialty
I enjoy working with a wide range of clients with varying backgrounds. The clients I typically see are children 5+, adolescents, and adults of any age. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma. We will work together to use your strengths to find solutions to problems, enhance relationships, build confidence, and develop a healthy sense of self.
