Internship Program

Tree of Life has a robust internship program offering an opportunity to have a diverse internship experience. We have high ethical standards when teaching and developing counseling interns and make sure that interns feel supported when navigating the counseling landscape. 

The internship program is run by Kristen Phillips, LPC, NCC, CAADC, CCTP, and EMDR trained. Kristen has a background in educating master’s in counseling interns at Wayne State University, having been a graduate teaching assistant for three years as well as an adjunct instructor. Kristen is supported by four skilled counselors, Ashley Kotowski (MA, LPC), Deirdra Rodriguez (MA, LPC, NCC, CCTP, EMDR trained), Megan Valore (MA, LPC), and Karen Broski (MA, LPC, NT), all with differing areas of interest providing opportunities for interns to get experience with a wide range of clients.
