Therapy is an inviting place where every single part of you is welcome, even the parts that are uncomfortable to share. There are two key factors that make counseling successful: empathy from the therapist and trust from the client. Once achieved, the healing process can begin. I am devoted to providing a safe space for you to discuss your deepest concerns and challenges without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. Together, we can create a strong therapeutic alliance and work towards your goals and desired changes.
I use an integrative approach with my clients, meaning that I consider that every client and situation is different and must be treated as so. In doing so, I can use the most effective methods available to address each individual client's needs and wants. The therapy approaches I frequently use are Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strength Based.
Areas of Specialty
I specialize in children, adolescents, college students, and young adults experiencing a wide variety of psychological, behavioral, academic, and relational problems. We will work together to use your strengths to find solutions to problems, enhance relationships, build confidence, and develop a healthy sense of self. With my background as a youth coach and education in school counseling, I feel confident we can work together to develop a plan that can work for you/your family.
I am pursuing a Masters degree for Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling at Wayne State University with the anticipated graduation date of May 2023. Currently, I am serving clients under the direct supervision of a licensed professional counselor.
