Seeking help is often difficult, and it is important to establish trust and a good rapport from the beginning. That is why all counseling sessions with me begin with a simple conversation. This will form the basis of the therapeutic relationship. In our exploration of any issues you may be having, it may be beneficial to use art therapy as well. This can serve as an alternative form of communication, leading us to conclusions we may not have discovered otherwise.
Art therapy is a therapeutic process which weaves the creative process and talk therapy together. No art experience is required.
It is my goal to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for self-exploration and expression. I use a number of therapeutic techniques, which are personalized for every client. These include (but are not limited to) cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and humanistic approaches.
