Sometimes life presents us with difficult challenges and we feel lost. We may be
haunted by trauma, feel stuck in relationships, have negative thoughts cycling
around in our minds, and find that we are sabotaging ourselves. These are
challenges that we all face and I believe that good therapy can address all these
issues and help foster the change and growth that we want to see in our lives.
My approach to counseling is focused first on listening and then on helping my
clients understand themselves and their ultimate concerns in a deeper way so
that they can live fuller, happier lives. I provide long lasting benefits and support,
giving you the tools you need to avoid triggers, redirect damaging patterns and
overcome whatever challenges you may face. I can also help you attain a better
understanding of yourself, your goals and values. Develop skills for improving
your relationships, cope with stress, anxiety, depression and other emotional
pressures. Most importantly improve your self-esteem and boost your self
confidence.
I specialize in individual and couples therapy working with adolescents and
adults. Offering unique and healthy cognitive alternatives. I perform traditional
talk therapy, but often supplement that with creative art modalities. I also do
mindfulness meditation, imagery and yoga. I specialize in disordered eating,
substance use, women's issues, self-esteem building, depression, anxiety,
relationship concerns, parenting issues, grief and loss, and life transitions.
Whatever my clients' challenges, my focus remains on cultivating a supportive
therapeutic relationship using a variety of resources to help clients embrace life,
and act from a place of authenticity, integrity, and joy.
