Counseling Philosophy
I believe people are innately their own inner-masters within their life journeys. I strive to provide an environment in which my clients may feel comfortable and safe navigating life’s ever-changing and dynamic adjustments. I believe my role as a counselor is to help in facilitating each client’s journey in a non-judgmental, empathetic, and understanding space.
Counseling Orientation
As I believe there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, I use an integrative orientation within my practice. I utilize person-centered, areas of mindfulness, as well as elements of solution-oriented and CBT modalities in helping my clients facilitate change.
Areas of Specialty
I have experience working with clients of various ages and backgrounds. I have worked with clients navigating through areas of anxiety and depression, adjustment and transition-related factors, passage through grief, as well as boundaries and self-esteem work. I see clients ages 16 and up.
Qualifications
I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University. I am a fully Licensed Professional Counselor.
