Counseling Philosophy
Everyone has a unique story, perspective, and experience. Sometimes it helps to have someone walk with us to explore our identity, work through life challenges or traumas, and to find fulfillment. What do you want to do in your life? Where do you want to go? How do you want to be true to yourself? I have some maps to suggest, but you have the power to choose the one best for you. I acknowledge that we do not live in a vacuum, there are systemic forces that impact us every day. These efforts we make to improve ourselves and our worlds can feel so daunting alone. Let us create a better world together, starting with you.
Counseling Orientation
I use intersectional, integrative, collaborative, and queer feminist approaches to navigate clients through life challenges and personal development with self-affirmation and actualization. I also use eclectic and creative strategies including Humanistic, Narrative, Somatic, Existentialist, trauma informed, ACT, CBT, and strength-based approaches.
Areas of Specialties
With a curious, collaborative, warm, and direct perspective, I help LGBTQIA+ adults and adolescents work through trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, and identity exploration.
