Counseling Philosophy: You can experience an overwhelming number of emotions and not know how to express or identify those emotions. My hope is to create a safe, fun, and genuine environment for you to express and explore all the feelings you may be experiencing. Please know that your voice will be heard, and you are valued. Whether you are coming to see me for anxiety, depression, ADHD, transitional issues, relationship issues, family issues, identity and self-love issues, trauma related issues or even just to vent (etc.,) you are welcome!
Counseling Orientation: My therapeutic approach consists of using expressive art and therapeutic play techniques. I love to be creative with my clients. I give my clients a safe space to express themselves in ways they may not be able to vocalize. I also have experience working with Cognitive Behavioral and Person-Centered Therapies.
Areas of Specialty: I tend to work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, and women’s issues. I am also able to offer faith-based therapy using Christian-based models.
Qualifications: I graduated with a MA in clinical mental health counseling at Oakland University. During the first year of my MA program, I became a part of Chi Sigma Iota which is a professional and educational honor society. Prior to working on my MA, I graduated from Oakland with my BA in Women and Gender Studies.
